What to Expect During Your Appointment
During your treatment, the BARE 808 diode laser delivers targeted energy to the hair follicle. The pigment in the hair absorbs the laser energy, helping to damage the follicle and reduce future hair growth.
The system also uses contact cooling to help keep your skin comfortable throughout treatment. You may feel warmth or a brief snapping sensation as the laser is applied.
Because hair grows in different stages, multiple treatments are typically recommended for the best reduction. Your provider will discuss your treatment plan and expected results with you before you begin.
After Your Hair Removal Treatment
Most clients require approximately 6 – 8 treatments for best results, since laser hair removal works most effectively when hair is in its active growth phase.Keep in mind that light-based treatments are generally more effective on thick, dark hair. We’ll discuss the expected results before starting so you’re fully informed.
After each session, your skin may appear flushed and feel sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. However, redness and swelling usually subside within 1–2 days.
Remember to avoid direct sun exposure and hot water on the treated area until fully healed. Otherwise, you can resume your normal routine once your session is over.
