What to Expect During Your Appointment
During each session, the IPL device releases multiple wavelengths of light onto your skin. These pulses of light generate heat. The pigmentation (colour) in your hair follicles absorbs the heat, damaging the follicles at the root to help prevent future hair growth.
As the light penetrates your skin, you might feel a mild stinging, similar to a rubber band snap. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities during this process.
After completing your series of IPL treatments, you’ll notice a notable decrease in hair growth. However, results can vary based on individual skin type and hair texture.
After Your IPL Hair Removal Treatment
For IPL hair removal, the number of sessions needed (usually 6–12) depends on hair type and treatment area. Keep in mind that light-based treatments are generally more effective on thick, dark hair. We’ll discuss the expected results before starting so you’re fully informed.
After each session, your skin may appear flushed and feel sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. However, redness and swelling usually subside within 1–2 days.
Remember to avoid direct sun exposure and hot water on the treated area until fully healed. Otherwise, you can resume your normal routine once your session is over.
